Outlook conflict messages in sent items. RRS feed

  • We are using exchange 2007 sp3 and outlook 2010 clients.

    we have some users in their outlook and their Sent Items that certain email messages are showing as a conflict. When they open them, they are forced to choose one.   It only happens in sent items for some emails.

    Any reason why it would do this.

    These users do have activesync enabled as well.  But there are other users who use activesync and they are ok.

    ANy ideas.

  • We have seen this issue mostly due to third party sync devices, third party DLLs/add-ins

    Also, in most of the cases, we observed the following:

    One IPhone user had also reported this issue. We checked and found out that he still has an old/stale BES account which was removed from the BES server.

    So please run Outlook in safe mode, temp remove all addins, temp disable the activesync account and then try again.

    Hi ,

    I have same issue. As suggested above i have checked registry value & its 30sec which is recomeded in 2nd article.

    Since its a single user who is facing this issue. 

    Hence it doesn't look like server end issue.

    User accessing mail using Outlook, OWA, IPhone & Blackberry.

  • Hi Fiona,

    I have checked user's system but didn't think about checking BES as we don't really use it for months. I have removed user from BES server so hopefully it will fix the issue.

    The problem is that you cannot move 'conflict messages' to archive before you decide which version of sent email you want to keep. Is there a way to mark them all as 'non conflict' or bulk choose version 'edited' by outlook - as both sent items (edited in outlook and edited possibly on blackberry) are the same just conflicted.
