Site not loading by DNS name RRS feed

    I have a site that loads just fine if I reference it by ip:portnumber but it times out if I use the DNS name.

    This is happening on only 1 WFE in the farm on the other server its no issue

    Even if I use a host entry pointing to the same IP that works, it times out by DNS.

    Its using Windows 2003, IIS 6 SP2008

    Did you fill the A record under DNS? and configure you're Bindings under IIS? If not perform the following actions..

    Under DNS server, create a A record and FILL the IP adress and WEB APP name

    Under IIS, open APP POOL and under bindings, create a new bindig with Portnumer + Hostname + IP
