how to classify update KB's RRS feed

    Hi,

    I want to know how to classify which KB belong to  categories of updates is there link or tool from Microsoft,

    MS12-020            KB2671387

    MS17-010            KB4013389

    MS15-034            KB3042553

    MS14-066            KB2992611

    MS09-050            KB975517

    i've sccm, so which classification ( should i find those updates )

    Hi All,

    In our organization i was asked how to determine KBs in classification for below 

    MS12-020            KB2671387

    MS17-010            KB4013389

    MS15-034            KB3042553

    MS14-066            KB2992611

    MS09-050            KB975517

     for above MS bulletins i was not be able to find their KB number so i used the below link 

    https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/security/bulletins.aspx

    also how to push those updates through configuration manager while synchronization does not shown any updates related to above.

    Hello,

    It seems like they are all security update. But not all of them can be founded in Microsoft update catalog. 

    For KB2671387:

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2671387/ms12-020-vulnerabilities-in-remote-desktop-could-allow-remote-code-exe

    For KB4013389

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4013389/title

    Only updates found in Microsoft update catalog can sync to WSUS server. 

    You can search KB in Microsoft Update Catalog website, to know which classification the update belongs to.

    Such as KB975517 , as we can see in the picture below, it belongs to Security Update.

    I'm not at work, but I swear when you double-click on it in SCCM, it should tell you what its classify as is.

    I can double-check when I get to work tomorrow.
