  • Hi Oneoa,

You should check installation log and try to find any relevant information :

    C:\Program Files\Microsoft System Center 2012\DPM\DPMLogs\DataProtectionManager-KB2822782.log

  • There is no log generated at all.

I'm seriously want to see Microsoft DPM team don't overlook this matter. Seriously DPM need improvement a lots.

And do not use System Center 2012, we only install the DPM with SW_DVD5_Sys_Ctr_DPM_Svr_2012_MultiLang_MLF.ISO

  • So you're currently running DPM 2012 SP1 ?

Or you're trying to install SP1?

  • I am getting this same error when attempting to run this update and I am running DPM 2012 SP1.

I initially tried to push the update via SCCm and I get error "80004005".  Then I tried to run it manually and it just says to to try to skip the backup.  I tried this and it still fails.

    I am running SCDPM 2012 SP1 on Server 2012

What does it refer to DPM 2010?  Is there a bug in this update??  I downloaded it from here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2802159 so I should have the update for 2012 SP1.

  • Hi,

Could you try to run this rollup from DPM 2012 SP1 rollup 1 (DPM build number 4.1.3322.0 or 4.1.3333.0) ?

  • I am upgrading from 4.1.3333.0
    Friday, April 26, 2013 1:59 PM
  • After a reboot, I was able to get it to install.  I am thinking that the initial push via SCCM failed and caused future attempts to fail.  I rebooted and ran the update with success.

    Thanks!

  • Stephane,

Look on the comment, who is the first commented on that link?

Could you give exact link instead, preferably offline installation.

  • Our DPM currently version 4.0.1920.0
Which increment update should apply first?

Seriously none from Microsoft able to help on this?

    Thursday, May 2, 2013 1:34 AM
  • Hi Oneoa,

DPM Build 4.0.1920.0 is for DPM 2012 Rollup3. (Without SP1)

    You should apply:

    1. DPM 2012 SP1 RTM (4.1.3313.0)
    2. DPM 2012 SP1 RollUp 2 (4.1.3408.0)

  • Stephane,

If you can help, try not drag this thread to long.

Give me the direct URL to download those files.

I only have it for SP1 Rollup 2, not the SP1 RTM.

  • Hi Oneoa,

I made a try again and first link (Rollup1 - http://catalog.update.microsoft.com/v7/site/Search.aspx?q=2802095) is unavailable.

this link seems to be broken.

  • Thanks for trying.

    That's my point.

How should Microsoft never over look this? Where their attention about this matter?

    This not professional.

Anyway I just notice Microsoft change to catalog recently.

This catalog download even worst, as my company using proxy. It's not pass though.

Do you have offline or anywhere else the files which I can download?

If you're looking for RU2 for SP1 -- its a System Center update, not just a 'DPM' update. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2802159/en-us?wa=wsignin1.0  -- and go down about 3/4 of the way down the page, and you will find the individual downloads for products with Product Unique KB numbers ....

  • Oh my god peoples!

Do you guys any idea what kind problem I facing?

Like I said in first place post, I can't update KB2822782 because it just can't do it and no log generated.

So that the reason I'm looking files for KB2802095!

I thought someone here said it should cumulative update.

Right now my DPM 2012 version is 4.0.1920.0

And I already know this URL since 06-12-2012, see the comment who post first?

  • 4.0.1920.0 = DPM 2012 Roll up 3 -- Non SP1

Your problem is that you are trying to apply an incompatible patch --

Once you install DPM 2012 SP1 -- the patch IS a roll up to SP1 only.
