Rebooting through remote desktop RRS feed

  • Question

  • When connecting to Vista through Remote Desktop, it seems as though I can no longer issue a reboot command to the PC, only Logout.  Is there some way to accomplish this?  XP used to allow it... perhaps Vista won't?

  • You can reboot through remote desktop with Vista.

Click on the "Start" (The blue circle) and then choose "Windows Security".  It should bring you to a screen with a red button on the lower right hand corner of the screen that will let you reboot the machine.
