Adding & Replacing existing disks in DPM server RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

Our DPM 2010 server currently has 5x 2TB disks in RAID5 (8GB usable) but our overall data has grown and I'd like to add 1 new disk to the server (The server currently has 1 free disk slot) and replace one of the 2TB drives with a larger one.

Can anyone tell me what the process would be to do this? If I remove one of the current 2GB drives and replace it with a new one, apart from losing certain backups, is there any other risk? I can only seem to find instructions on the internet on how to replace a failed disk rather than replace a current healthy disk with another.

    Thanks in advance.
