BizTalk Best Practices and guidelines RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am new to BizTalk Administration. The BizTalk is configured in a multi server and SQL in a active\active cluster. It would appreciated if I get guidelines and practices or checklist  to be followed before moving the application to the production.

  • Hi,

Not sure if this is what your asking but if you want to check the health of your BizTalk environment you can use the BizTalk Messagebox Viewer tool. It analyses your BizTalk environment and reports any inconsistencies.

  • Hi,

Like Randal point out you can use MsgBoxViewer for instance to check health of your environment and/or use SCOM. For more best practices or checklist I like to refer to BizTalk Server Troubleshooting and Support.

  • BizTalk Server 2009 Operations Guide at http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee308947%28BTS.10%29.aspx has a few checklists. Look for ones under the "Checklist for Other Important Tasks" category.
