Chaning the local administrator passwords en mass. RRS feed

  • Question

  • We are looking to update our local administrator account passwords on our PCs. Anyone have a suggestion for an easy way? We have about 1000 systems and they are all part of a domain.

    Thanks!

  • I would look into using a GPO and disabling the local administrative account to follow security best practices.  I would suggest that you have a seperate account on the machine with administrative accounts local to the machine and a large complex password that is only known to a select few IT folks.
