Passing command prompt output messages to the notification area's yellowish balloon RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • Hi all,

I have scheduled a task to update Microsoft Security Essentials in Windows Task Scheduler as follows:

    CMD /K "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Security Client\MpCmdRun.exe" SignatureUpdate

I would like to get the output messages from the MpCmdRun.exe in a yellowish balloon on tray notification area instead of having them from command prompt. Is there a solution for this without programming; however vb scripts, batch and arguments are welcomed.

    i.e. Signiture update started . . .

or i.e. Signiture update finished. No updates needed
