  • Question

  • Hi All,

    I'm new to Enterprise Voice.

Has anybody tested Lync/S4B, snom ONE (s/w IP PBX) and Cisco SPA400 PSTN gateway integration? There are Lync and Snom integration but no documentation on PSTN gateway integration. Does anyone has documentation of integration of all 3?

  • Hi Channavera,

infact, its very difficult to get documents and steps over each and very model which is available in market. however, if you are looking for the way to integrate and get some knowledge how it works practically you can refer few which are available over net.

As you are new to Enterprise voice setups and all - i would suggest you to go through following gallery doc which is explained in easy steps that how the call routing works from SIP to Gateway

    SFB/Lync Voice Routing Made Easy.

once you get the confident over the routing understand this one

before you are planning for any gateway first check in Lync interoparabililty list for qualified gateway list.

Check this ISR for Lync + Cisco Dialpeer configuration

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=41153

From the lync side there is nothing much for the configuration end but when you are talking about gateway there you need to configure dial-peers for inbound and outbound calls in production your gateway team or Telecom team would suggest you in this matter.

  • Hi All,

Anybody used / configured  linksys spa3102 with Lync/SFB? I didn't find this device at https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/office/dn788945.aspx as a MS Qualified VOIP Gateway, but this the cheapest VOIP gateway i can find for the test lab as it can act as PSTN and SIP gateway.

  • hello Channavera,

if you dont find above model then its not a qualified gateway.

however, it does not meen that it will not work.

check with linksys vendor if it works with Lync or not and you can also ask them to provide any documents if they already have prepared with above testing.

as i told you there is nothing much from Lync side configuration all you need to understand the gateway interface portal settings and values. those will differ from model to model.

    hope this helps.

  • Thanks Raju.

I have found on some web sites like http://www.lynclog.com/2011/04/mp-114-pre-configured-boardini-for-lync.html they have tested and it worked. But they are not mentioned as qualified on the MS site. All that i can see on the MS site is business class gateway no info on mid range business gateways like Audiocodes MP 114/2FXS/FXO/3AC.

  • Agree,  as long as its functional without any issues its well and good but when it comes to production when you approach MS with a ticket when you get in trouble with any wired behavior they would suggest you to get qualified gateways only. however, they do support in best effort base but incase if the issues would not solve with there support even they cant do much.
