Backup & Restore Provision Failed to create Site RRS feed

  • Hi,

    i took a backup of 5 Databases(Archive,Publishesd,Draft,Reporting,Wss_Content) from Production server and attached to Test Server Sql Server and Created a New Web Application and Attached the "Wss_Content" database to the create Web Application using "Mount" Command in Powershell(after attaching Content Database i am able to see all my Project Server sites) and Created a new PWA site from central admin and gave all the 4 databases name exactly as i restored in SQL Server but i got error "Failed - See the Event log"

    when i see Event Log i get below error

    Failed to provision site PWA with error: Microsoft.Office.Project.Server.Administration.ProvisionException: Failed to provision databases. ---> Microsoft.Office.Project.Server.Administration.ProvisionException: Provisioning failed because the databases specified did not match.

    How to over come this issue,please help

    What was the event log error ID? Have you checked the ULS logs to see what was logged there?

  • Hi Pranay,

    As per your other post please confirm that the spadmin account has the correct permissions on the test SQL server, give the account sysadmin permissions then try again.
