What is the System Managed Group in local security policies? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I've been tampering with the local policies, trying to make a secure user account for network acces only (no other rights on the machine whatsoever except accessing shared folders and printers), and I keep stumbling on the "System Managed Group". It is among the default groups under "Access this computer from the network", "Allow log on locally" and a couple of others. Can someone please tell me what this group's purpose is, what privileges and rights does it have and what accounts are in it?

    P.S. I run a 64-bit Windows 10 Pro on a stand alone desktop.
