LCSSYNC syncronises only to one OU RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

we are doing PoC for Lync multi-forest implementation. We have two source forests and we want to place users/contacts to separate OUs in target Lync forest. in lcscfg.xml we could specify a target OU, but we could not find a way to set two or more. Do you have any ideas on how to fix that?

    Thanks, Dan

  • You would need to modify the code in the provision method of the Metaverse rules extension dll. I don't know if the LCSsync source code is included -- someone else was looking for it and didn't find it but I gave some guidance on how they could do it without that code:

  • Hello,

As noted elsewhere, one option is to change lcssync.dll. Source code is not available. You can decompile using dotPeek or Reflection and make changes as required. Another approach is to create PS script that parses account domain from msDS-SourceObjectDN attribute and uses Move-ADObject to execute the move to other target OUs.
