Hi,
For Windows Server 2012/2012 R2, an administrator has the ability to switch between a Server Core and a full as needed.
For Windows Server 2016 TP:
Unlike some previous releases of Windows Server, your choice of Server Core vs. Server with Desktop Experience at the time of installation is not convertible to the other mode.
A re-installation is necessary.
