Can not ping client from W2K3 RRS feed

    I have a client in my domain, to which I have several issues, and pretty sure that a single solution will solve them all

    • The client is added to the domain, and all is well
    • It gets an IP (DHCP)
    problem is that I can't:
    • I can't ping the client
    • I can not manage it from the MMC on the server
    • I can't trace it
    I think that there  might be some service that is disabled.

    I tried the MS KB on this (can't find the link now) - it didn't work.

    Thanks for posting here

    After reading your post I understand that you can’t ping ; manage and trace  your client from your server.

     

    Have your try disable the Firewall of your client and attempt test again?

    Could you post the server and client ‘s “ipconfig /all” result here ?

     

    For access the computer ,you must setting IP address currently first.

     

    For access remote computer via ping  and tracert command ,please excepted the ICMP protocol on each side’s firewall.
