Disable User from UM Voice not doing the job RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

We have recently gone live with SfB, and using UM for Voicemail fine.

Ive noticed when you disable a user for UM\Voice, either by ECP or via shell. it does disable the user for voicemail, but if I re provision that number and enable that new user\object against that same extension it rigs them back up to previous mailbox.

Its as though when you disable a mailbox for UM\Voice it just disconnects it but still leaves it lingering the system in some way. Is there a way of properly deleting the voicemail box? I can also see a need one day where someone wants to complete reset their voicemailbox to return it to defaults.

Any help here would be great.

    Thanks

  • Hi ExchangeGarrisson,

If you disable the user in SfB, you also disable the UM through the Exchange Management?

Because you have to do this on SfB and also on the Exchange Mailbox. If not the phonenumber will still assigned to these mailbox.
