Exchange 2016 OWA Search Not Working RRS feed

  • Hey all,

    So we've hit a weird issue with our Exchange 2016 when using the OWA. The search function will either not work at all and give the error "We didn’t find anything. Try a different keyword." or sometimes simply return results that have nothing to do with the keyword you're searching for. The "We didn't find anything," error is the most common thing that users receive. 

    Searching in the Outlook desktop client works perfectly fine. The problem only exists in the OWA. 

    Any idea what might be going on here and what a potential fix might be?

  • Hi,

    Do all users have the same issue?

    Try to restart these services in order from Service Tool:
    1. Microsoft Exchange Search
    2. Microsoft Exchange Information Store

    Check Application logs from Event View for some error information.
