Embedded Excel Table in Word - spacing of characters is off RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am working for an accounting firm that is using Office 2010 on local machines and on terminal servers.  The terminal servers are running Server 2008 and the workstations are running Windows 7 Pro.  The accounting program they are using has "binders" with Word documents and Excel spreadsheets.  The Word documents usually have embedded tables that are pulling from several different spreadsheets.  When opening the Word documents, the text in the tables appears as if the kerning is off on the embedded tables.  The tables print fine, but the display on the screen is off.  Sometimes letters are almost on top of each other and other times there appears to be a space in the middle of a word.

    Any help would be appreciated.

  • Since the content prints correctly, this may be a display driver issue. Have you checked the display card maker's website for updated drivers?
