difference between fixed units and fixed work RRS feed

  • when I add a new task as a fixed unit with effort driven the ms project deal with it as fixed work why???????

  • Can you please give us your case so we can reproduce it? 

    Basically if you create the 2 same tasks in a blank project, 1 fixed unit, 1 fixed work:

    If you increase the work from 5 to 6 days both tasks, the fixed units task will have the duration changed to 6 days, and the fixed work task will keep 5d for the work but the unit will decrease.
