Cannot install UAG - 'System.Exception' RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all,

I've problem with installing UAG 2010 - I've getting this error message:

Exception of type 'System.Exception' was thrown.

I cannot find any solution. I've two computers with Win2008 R2, up-to-date, 2xNIC, 4GiB and 2GiB RAM respectivelly, both are domain members. On both computers I get this error, neverthless I use technet ISO or trial ISO...

How can I find what's wrong?

    Thanks!

  • Hi Jason,

Thanks for help me find the UAG setup logs - the %ProgramData% folder is hidden by default :)

    This is the setup log:

Well, I've tried to run the setup locally directly on the console and it works! Shame on me I haven't tried it earlier, however I didn't suspect that UAG cannot be installed remotelly...

    Oops! :)

  • Hi Ravo2,

Can you put that error in context? At what point during the install does it fail?

The TMG setup logs can be found in %windir%\Temp and the UAG setup logs can be found in %ProgramData%\Microsoft\UAG\Logs - these logs may have more details on the failure and allow you to post better error info...

    Cheers

    JJ
