user with full control on a subsite can not create new page RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have created a subsite in which I have "stopped inheriting permissions".

Before stopping inheritance there was group with full permisssion and same was copied at subsite also.

After stopping inheritance(permission) deleted this full control group at site and subsite and again created this group at site and subsite with same permission.

but now member of this group are not able to create page.

is it because of me deleting the group caused problem or there is something else ????

  • Hi,

You need to check effective permissions.

    Follow this:

    1. Check if the pages library is inheriting permissions or is it defining its own.

    2. If its own then check if the user in question has sufficient access over there or not.

    3. List out if other than owner access group the user has access with any other group with reduced permissions,

the most simple way to do this is to use security report account of admin toolkit. You can get it here:

I hope this will help you out.
