CA Unicenter

Question

Hi,
We are using CA Unicenter as our main monitoring framework, but we have also implemented OpsMgr 2007 R2 to monitor our Microsoft services.
So, we need to connect OpsMgr -> Unicenter. Can this be done with the InterOp connectors or do we need a third party integration.
Best regards,

Hi.
Personally I don not have that good experiences with Quest Connectors. But perhaps that is just me.
These are the ones that Microsoft provides: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=592e4143-c5c8-4270-9a7a-cd0a31ab3189&displaylang=en
Also a Universal Connector is to be found there. Perhaps this one can be used for connecting OpsMgr R2 with CA Unicenter.

I do not have good impression with quest product either
it needs one additional hardware (server) to host their eXc software, not very easy or friendly to use, price is not cheap.
I once used MOM 2005 SP1 and Unicenter 3.1 integration, you may create a Management Pack, inside of it, put some commands or scripts, to send all MOM alerts or some alerts ( critical or above which also include Security and Service unavailable) to the designated TNG console, I believe they may use "cawto" MOM alerts to the TNG console, then use MR/MA (Message record / message action) to take action on the selected MOM alerts
