Error while running configuration wizard RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All,

While running Configuration wizard after installing WSS sp2, MOSS SP2, I am getting following exception (found in Upgrade.log).

[SPManager] [ERROR] [1/3/2011 5:50:23 PM]: ReflexiveUpgrade [SPWebService Parent=SPFarm Name=SharePoint_Config_05a5b32f-6104-425b-9b9d-7a92c9fd0794] failed.

Same exception is thrown if I try to upgrade manually by using stsadm -o upgrade -inplace b2b -wait -force or psconfig -cmd upgrade -inplace b2b -wait -force

    I appreciate any suggestions.

    Thanks,

    Rahul Babar

  • Finally I could run the configuration wizard successfully with few adjustments. I deleted few web applications which were no longer being used. I had to detach content databases of mysite and ssp admin applications while running configuration wizard. Later attached these databases back to respective applications and now everything seems to be fine again.

    Thanks,

  •  I directly installed WSS SP2 and MOSS SP2 without installing MOSS SP1 or WSS SP1 first.  I tried solution on this post, but still no luck.
