  • In fact there is.  Again, there are plenty of articles on how to renew a certificate using the MMC.  But I would use the native Exchange way because it best ensures you don't make a mistake.

  • I've never had to reboot an Exchange server when installing or changing an SSL certificate.  You might want or need to do an IISRESET, but I don't think that's strictly required either.  Just bring up the OWA page and look at the certificate, that'll tell you whether the change stuck.

  • Did you even bother to search the Internet?  I'd bet that there are fifty articles describing this.

  • Do we need to restart the necessary Exchange services after you enable the certificate? Please advise

    Thank you.

  • Did any of the articles you consulted say that you need to?

  • Some say No, some say Yes.

So not sure what's the best practice.

After the cert renewal, do I need to restart the necessary Exchange services [i.e POP,IMAP,ISS]? If so, how do I restart IIS? Please advise.

    Thank you.
