NLB Setting for CAS/HUB Roles installed in a server RRS feed

  • Question

  • I would like to seek you advise on the following situation.

    1. Operating System : Windows 2003 r2 Enterprise edition SP2

    2. Microsoft exchange 2007 SP3

    3. NLB_HUB01 => NLB settings for HUB Server 1 (Multicast mode setting)

    4. HUB_HUB02 => NLB settings for Hub Server 2 (Multicast mode setting)

We have tested on the NLB load to be forcefully to route all the emails from Hub Server 1 to Hub Server 2

where I have set the Load on Hub Server 1 to “0%” and Set the load on Hub Server 2 to “100%”

When the test is conducted, we found that the emails are still routed through Hub Server 1.

    Any advise or suggestion?

Kindly note that with the above settings, in the event if the Hub Server 1 is not available, the emails are routed via Hub Server 2.

  • Hello,

Fault tolerance is achieved by connecting to the next available server in a prioritized list of servers when the selected server is unavailable.

    Your situation should be realized.
