Incident Email Processing seems to process 1 email at a time RRS feed

  • I have Incoming email processing turned on and an SMTP server setup with SCSM 2012 SP1.  The problem is that SCSM seems to be processing incoming emails very slowly.  It appears to process 1 email every 4 minutes.  I have adjusted the Maximum Number of e-mail messages to process at a time between 0,50,100, and 300.  This seems to have no affect.  Is there any else to check to speed the email processing up?  I am not using the exchange connector because we do not utilize exchange.

  • Is your incoming smtp folder contains any eml files?

  • yes it has a fairly large backlog of eml files (9,500 eml files large).  SCSM is processing the emails but it is way slower then the emails coming in.
