Windows 10 1607 CBB Upgrade needs uninstall Office 2010 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

    I'm testing the upgrade to Windows 10 1607 CBB from Wsus.

    When I go start the upgrade, it ask to uninstall the Office 2010 and the Safesign software. They're not incompatible with Windows 10 1607.

    I can't uninstall this software in 200 machines, what can I do?

  • Hi rgeor,

    1. What is the version of the WSUS server, do you install KB3095113 and KB3159706 before syncing win10 1607 upgrade to WSUS server;

    2. On the WSUS IIS site, please add .esd mime type;

    3. On the clients, please turn off third-party software;

    >"When I go start the upgrade, it ask to uninstall the Office 2010 and the Safesign software."

    4. Where do you get the promot message, from windows update services or other software, could you provide a related screenshot about the information.

    Best Regards,

  • Hi Anne,

    My WSUS is from Windows Server 2012 R2.

    I installed all updates and add the .esd mime type.

    The message to uninstall Office 2010 and Safesign is from Windows Update. I don't have a screenshot, but I found this on the internet:

    Today I tried again and now the upgrade ask to uninstall the Safesign Software only, but the Safesign is compatible with Windows 10.

    And two days ago I put 10 PCs to upgrade, but only 2 upgraded. Is there any way to force the upgrade?
