Redirect Web Site requests with multiple bindings from HTTP to HTTPS

    Question

  • Dear All,

i have one website for SharePoint on the WFE server which contains 12 bindings links.

all the links configured as HTTPS port 443.

i need to configure redirection of user requests all to be redirected to HTTPS.

means if a user requested the site with URL "site.domain.com" the IIS page appears, i need to automatically redirect the users requests to HTTPS directly without filling it on IE address bar

    Many thanks

  • Hi,

It’s a big project. And it seems it’s not related to SharePoint product.

I have did some research and figure out some information about HSTS list in the browser, which may be helpful to you:

    HSTS list:

The browser checks its "preloaded HSTS (HTTP Strict Transport Security)" list. This is a list of websites that have requested to be contacted via HTTPS only. If the website is in the list, the browser sends its request via HTTPS instead of HTTP. Otherwise, the initial request is sent via HTTP.

    Thanks,

    Dean Wang
