Distributed administration RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a client who wants to distribute management of FCS policies. However, these users will not have the ability to publish GPO's, so they will not be able to publish the policies they create. There has been talk of a single policy, but it's politically not an option.

So the question becomes - what is MS' recommdation for large, distributed environments where a single FCS infrastructure will be utilized? Best practice recommendations? Utilize workflow to publish the policies after someone else creates them? What about concerns over editing someone elses policy (in a multi user environment, I can see this as a possibility).

    Any thoughts?

Also, has anyone successfully prevented GPO updates from triggering alerts to the client? I'm specifically thinking of IE updates (home page, proxy, etc)
