  • Hanni, No you cannot change it as far as my knowledge. its the default behavior of Project Professional.

  • Hanni,

Could you elaborate bit more? as its difficult to interpret the exact issue you want to resolve from the a brief detail you posted.

If you want to set a default view for all your users, you can do that only if you are using Project Server 2007/2010. you can edit the Project Global template, so that the settings will be visible for the users when they open the client on their machine.

  • from the beggining :-)

I use project server 2010 and know how to set the project global template.

what I dont know is how to change the preformance of the data inside the culmn on the project proffesional.

in this case - if someone set a reasouce for 50% - you will see in the resources name culmn: resouce  name (50%)

I dont want the (50%) to be seen.

    can I change it?

    Thanks,

    Hanni

  • correct me if i am wrong, perhaps you want to move your column %Complete next to somewhere start or finish (By Default when you insert a new column in 2010(assuming) it appears next to the Resource Name Column in Entry Table [Default whem you open MS Project, unless you override it]), if i am correct then its very much possible and pretty easy, >> select the column that you want to move, by clicking on the heading of the column >> Release the mouse >> now again hover your mouse cursor onto the column heading it should turn to a four way arrow >> now just drag and drop your column where ever you want to place >> Save the project

Alternatively you can have / create your own custom tables with custom column listed, have a look at this :: http://www.microsoft.com/project/en/us/add-new-column-custom-table.aspx

Let em know if this is not relevant and i am missing something :)

  • Its Default you can't change that display / behaviour, alternatively you can have another custom column with some formula or macro which eliminates the assignment information and copies the rest of data as it is and instead of resource names you can show that column, if that satisfies your requirements, now it would have side effects / downsides as PM would now when need to change Resource Information / assignemnts / leveling or any such changes to get reflected you would need  to use the resource name column
