How to specify alternate RDP port for ConfigMgr console to use.

Question
-
Hi All,
Hopefully an easy question. Internally an alternate port is configured by GPO for RDP connections for security. I would like to enable the SCCM console to use this alternate port when an RDP session is started from within the console. Currently it is trying to start RDP connections using the default port and failing.
Ideas?
Cheers
Ben

Hi,
It seems that the RDP session port for the ConfigMgr console is hard-coded. I recommend you use SDK to add a button in ConfigMgr console for the special function.

If you change the port in GPO SCCM will just use what you specify

Hi Paul,
Thanks for the response but unfortunately I am seeing different behaviour to what you describe.
From the same server where the ConfigMgr console is installed I can successfully RDP manually using [servername]:[alternateport] however when I try to initiate an RDP session from within the ConfigMgr console it errors out with the standard message that the server is offline or network connectivity issues...
Any other suggestions?
Cheers
Ben
