MAM on Android 8 does not work well


  • I am changing my phone from iphone7 to Hwawei Mate10 running Android Oreo. I downloaded company portal + Outlook as our company apply MAM policy on BYOD. I remember when I setup outlook on android for other colleagues the other time (running Android 7 or below), their process is pretty seamless. Now it keep saying "There was an issue launching your app. Try updating the app or the INtune Company Portal app. If you need help, contact your IT administrator".

    Do note that all the applications (company portal + outlook) are just freshly downloaded from Play store, and I login, 2FA, and apparently it seemed it can't invoke the company portal to apply MAM policy? OUr MAM policy requires us to use PIN to protect the app.
