    We have a SCCM 2012 SP1 and WSUS 3.0 SP2 with KB2734608 and KB2720211 installed ,but we are still unable to install updates on Windows 8 machines.
    Do i need a hotfix to make this work should the configuration above work?

    Searches point to that this was a problem pre-SP1...
    0x80246003 WU_E_DM_UNKNOWNALGORITHM A download manager operation could not be completed because the file metadata requested an unrecognized hash algorithm.

    This should definitely work, i have it up and running in a test lab. Is it working for other Client Versions (eg. Win7), or is it a General Problem?

    everything else is working ,We deploy updates to Windows 7 clients without any problemes from the same Update Group/deployment.
