IPAM 2016 IP Ranges starting & ending IP RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I wold like to ask you for advice in creating IP ranges is IPAM 2016.

When i am creating a range  /24 with PS its starting with .0 IP and ending with .255 which is subnet ID and broadcast.

is there some easy way to exclude those?
    thank you

  • Hi Tomas,

Have a look at this guide https://nedimmehic.org/2017/06/01/install-and-configure-ip-address-management-ipam-2016-part-2/

You can specify the starting IP and the ending IP. So in your case you would put for example starting IP 192.168.1.1 and ending ip 192.168.1.254

    Regards

    Simon

  • Hi Simon,

Thanks for your answer, I aware I can specify starting and ending IP Manually but  my scenario is, that i need to add hundreds of ranges with PS script with various lengths. Is there any easy way how to exclude network ID and broadcast in that case?

    Thanks Tomas
