Usefelness of repadmin in a domain with only one domain controller

    Question

  • Hi,

This is probably a stupid question but is there any use for using repadmin in a domain with only one domain controller?

    Thanks in advance.

    Kind regards

  • If you mean a single DC on domain,no.But you can check health status of DC with "dcdiag" commands,etc..

  • In your scenario, repadmin loses most of its relevance, although you can still take advantage of some of the repadmin capabiiltes - e.g. repadmin /showbackup (identifying the most recent AD backup)
