DCDiag Error: failed test kccevent RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I have noticed Outlook users have been having issues possibly with our Exchange server so i ran a DCDiag to see if any errors would occur. I normally run this weekly anyways. For what ever reason many users are often losing contact with our Exchange server for what ever reason. Now mind you I did not set this Exchange server up I am just maintaining it. Also you should know this is still running Server 2000 (again not my choice). When i ran the dcdiag.exe file i get the following: Starting test: kccevent

An Warning Event occured.  EventID: 0x800004F1
                Time Generated: 02/25/2013   09:59:10
(Event String could not be retrieved)

             ......................... MENT6 failed test kccevent

When I look in the event viewer i am seeing a lot  of errors mostly KDC and Netlogon. I think this may be related to the issues we are having lately. Anyone that can shed some light on this it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

  • Hi,
If you need help troubleshooting your Active Directory, you should post in the Directory Services Forum. You might get help there even if you are running an OS that is out of support.

When you AD problem has been resolved, post back in the Previous Version of Exchange Forum if you still have problems with Exchange and when/if you do, don't forget to add information about version of Exchange and Outlook.

The topic of this forum is Exchange 2013.
