unable to find a Skype entreprise account with the name , we can find it only with SIP address RRS feed

  • Hello,

    I have created a Skype account many days ago and all seems normal but, 
    when we search the account with name:
    Result : we could not find any exact correspondent,Refine your search
    When we search wit SIP address : we find it!

    the issue is not related to computer, same results with all computers.

    try to wait for more than 10 days but northing changes
    delete it and create it again and wait for 7 days : same result :(

    Did anyone encounter this problem before?

  • Hi there,

    Have you tried to log in on another computer or mobile device to check if address book is working? Sometimes can happen if there are gpo applied to users appdata. Skype client cant write the address book in its app data folder.

    Did you mean that the issue only appear on the specific user?

    If the user only appeared on the specific user, please try to run the command line Get-CsUser to compare the user attributes between the affected user and other normal users, if any difference, please try to modify it.

    Moreover, please also run the command in SFB management shell to update address book: update-CsAddressBook.

    It's not the GPO , as other same accounts created in same Organisation unit we can find him easly by display name on Skype entreprise.

    i tried shell commands , and compare ...nothing unuasuall was find 

    the problem was so simple

    The SIP address form was XXX.XX.XXX@domain.com after change to XXXXX@domain.com

    it appears on same second.

    Hi Imane,

    Normally it shouldn't be a problem to use multiple dots :). Maybe replication issue / backend issue / address book issue. You can invoke a update-csaddressbook and check event viewer for any errors.
