SCOM 2007 R2 and Monitoring of Certificate server and Certificates RRS feed

  • I have SCOM 2007 R2, I am trying to achieve the following

    I want to monitor all the certificates installed on the websites in Web/IIS server and want to set threshold if any certificate of the website is near to expire date, SCOM server should send alert that certificate is going to expire in X number of days.

    I have also installed Certificate server in our enviornment it is Windows 2003 Ceritificate server the all the cerificates are being issuesed from this server.

    Can you please provide information how it can be achieved.

  • The MP creeated by Raphael Burri would cover the certificate checking on your boxes and let you know which ones are expiring in x days (2 or 4 weeks i think was default) and also which ones have expired etc. http://www.systemcentercentral.com/tabid/145/indexId/24860/Default.aspx . I use it all the time and has saved the day a few times already. And in some cases they didnt look at the alerts in scom seriously until their webserver went down and I could point out the alerts and health states for those certificates.

  • The AD CS MP is only for 2008 CS and not 2003.
