COA but no Cd?? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I bought a Compaq Evo D510 a while ago and now it's really slow. I want to install Windows XP on it because it came with a Windows XP Certificate of Authenticity (COA) stuck onto it. However, I don't have the Windows XP installation CD and I don't know anyone who does. My computer doesn't support Windows Vista/7 so I really need a CD. How can I get one without having to pay the price of both the sticker and the CD? Any help appriciated.

  • Unfortunately, Windows XP CDs and/or recovery media are no longer being distributed...sorry!

  • According to what you wrote, you have a Windows XP OEM License, so you have to contact HP Compaq and ask for a set of discs.
