SQL Server with no Usage Data RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi fellas,

We pulled lists of all servers in the environment running SQL Server Standard and then ran them through MAP to get an idea of usage to determine CAL requirements, using inventory scenario Client Access Tracking for SQL Server 2012 or later.

Of the 66 machines that come back, only 35 have usage data.

Two of those without usage data are some of our heaviest hit databases, including the SCCM database that I interact with daily.  Both servers in question are running Windows Server 2016 Standard and SQL Server 2017 Standard.

Is there something I need to enable in SQL to allow usage data?  I don't think it's a permissions problem, as I'm a domain admin for these servers.
