Is it possible to change the project site of exiting project and replace it by a new one according to the project Department?

  • Hi Robert,

First of all,I'd mention that the site template is attached to the EPT (Enterprise Project Type) which is also attached to a department, and not to the department itself.

Then it is not possible to change a project site directly. Assuming that you'll change the project's EPT, the project site will remain unchanged. You'll have to delete the project site, change the project's EPT for the new one and publish the project in order to create the new project site based on the new template.

    Hope this helps,

  • Be careful, if you do the steps above, you will lose all data from the project site that you delete.
