    ISCSI initiator logout is failing in VISTA when trying to delete the provisioned volume using Sotrage Management software.

    Hi ,

    we have a storage management software which will help us in provisioning windows volumes from a storage server to the VIsta OS. While we try to delete the volume using the storage mangement toll, we are gettting an error in the logs saying that
    the iscsi log out failed while deleting the volumes. and the initiator connection stays connected in the targets tab of the ISCSI iniator applet window.

    Please note that this issue is not happening when we try out the same operation in Win2K3 server. This appears in the Vista OS only. Can you please provide your feedback.

    Hi,

     

    Based on my research, storage management software is a third party. We recommend to contact the third-party company

    to check if this software is compatible with Windows Vista.

     

    Generally, if the manufacturers of devices don’t provide drivers designed for Windows Vista, we can’t solve the problem just in Windows side.

     

    To solve the problem solidly, please contact the manufacturer and confirm whether updated driver for Windows Vista is in the works.
