Need help understanding simple dashboard deployment RRS feed

  • Question

  • Please bare with me as I am brand new to sharepoint.

We've built some reports/dashboards in Performance Point Dashboard Designer and would like to deploy them to a web page.

Sharepoint seems like the nartural choice but we are not tied down to it (we currently have Sharepoint 2007).

So here is the million dollar question.

I have a collection of 3 or 4 dashboards. I'd like to build a page with a column on the left consisting of links to all the various dashboards and the main "frame" would display the reports/dashboard based on whatever was selected by the user.

It should be really straight forward ... but when I try and deploy from Performance Point DD it sends it to a page with a whole buch of other stuff I don't want.

For example, the dashboard appears in the left column under Documents together with "Lists, Discussions, Sites, etc"

Is there a way to customize the page in sharepoint to look exactly the way you want it to?

Is there a better approach I don't know about?

    thx

    Jake.
