RPC hangs sometimes (with DPM 2010 Agent) RRS feed

  • Hello
    We have updated our DPM-Server to DPM2010 and also all the agents on the protected servers. After the agent update to DPM 2010, we get on some servers from time to time a agent status "unavailable", the recovery point or syncronisation fails and the RPC hangs on the system (no RDP connections, no access from remote to the services, ....). We can resett/reboot the server and in a few days we have the same status.
    Are there any known issues wit DPM 2010 Agent and RPC failures on Windows 2003 R2 SP2 (with updated patch/hotfix level)?

    It appears that DPM is also a victim of the RPC problem just like the others - RDP, etc. You might want to focus on resolving the RPC component.

    We have not had any reports of this kind of behavior related to DPM agents, so don't really have any ideas for you.
