Is possible to search a contact by a string which contains in the filename? RRS feed

    Here's my requirement: I do send everyday several .docx files with a standard filename format to contacts in my list. But i'd like to automate it as possible, for example, just give the filename outlook find by itself the destination email within the contacts list, can outlook do something like this? Ortherwise I'll try write a script to get the email from the filename but I first I have to make sure outlook doesn't have it natively already.

    Sorry but I am not quite sure about what you mean by "give the filename outlook find by itself the destination email within the contacts list". If possible, could you please provide a sample of the filename and clarify how you give the filename to Outlook? You may share some screenshots using OneDrive so that we can help you better.

    One possibility I can think of is that the the filename is the same as the name of a contact. If this is the case, we can manually type the filename in the To filed, then select the ideal recipient from the drop down list or press Ctrl + K to check the names:
