    Can users in a Target Audience be blocked from SharePoint web application, even if access is already granted to Domain Users?

  • Audiences cannot be used as permission scopes, so no, you cannot use an Audience to restrict access to Web Applications/sites.

  • Hi,

    If a user is blocked at web application level, the user could not the sites in the web application even if he has been granted permission on the sites.

    But how do you block the users in a target audience at web application level as target audience cannot be used to grant permissions.
