Login Password Issues

Question
-
I have been trying to login to my mailbox, admin/home and it is not accepting my password!
How do I even raise a support ticket for this?
I don't have the sign in application.
How do I get in? For now I have changed mx records, but then what is the solution?

Alpesh

Hi Alpesh, typically you would log into your Online Admin Center and create an SR within there. However since you can't get in, the best way to request help is to go to the https://mocp.microsoftonline.com website where you provisioned your Online Company and click the Contact Support link.BTW: To download the client you can download it directly by browsing to https://admin.microsoftonline.com/Downloads/OnlineServicesSignIn.msi. Once downloaded and installed, you can then login using your temp password, which will then walk you through changing it for the first time. Otherwise you can browse to https://admin.microsoftonline.com. You will be asked to input your credentials and once done, the service will walk you through changing you temporary password and allow you to continue into the Online Admin Center.Wednesday, September 3, 2008 4:24 AM

Log into https://mocp.microsoftonline.com/Site/Default.aspx (Customer Portal that you logged in with your Windows LiveID when signing up for the Online Services)
-
Click on "Connect to Support" under Contact Support
-
Click on Microsoft Online Customer Portal Support
-
Open an support incident requesting for Password reset
-
Support agent will reset your password & you'll be able to log in
This may be a circuitous way of opening a support incident. The experience is a lot better in the future release.

Thanks for your input. I have done this before posting to the forum.
Can you imagine being locked out of admin/owa and not being able to receive emails?
Ok this is beta - service outage, etc is acceptable but locked out?

Hi all, my apologies for having these issues. Online passwords expire every 42 days and when running the Sign In Client you will get notifications to change your password, which can be easily done with the client itself. Otherwise you can browse to the Home Portal (https://home.microsoftonline.com/Public/ChangePassword.aspx) and change your password. Although you will need to remember your old password to use the above URL.
IF your Online password has expired OR you cannot remember your password, you will need to contact Support in order to get a password reset. Please follow the below steps to complete this task.

-
Support agent will reset your password & you'll be able to log in
Note: I will log a Feature Request that allows users to reset/change passwords when they have expired, as many times no one can remember them and without that piece of information, you cannot change your password!
