  • What's the best way of creating a custom project field that knows if the revenue recognised, based on work, is an accrual or deferral based on which billing milestones have been completed.

    So at the start of a project the first milestone is a billing milestone: once complete we say 50% of the revenue is accrued - I can then do a rolling total based on cost and GM.

    Should I create a custom task field that acts as a billing milestone? Can I then use a nested if statement in the custom project field based on completion of these milestones to work out if we're accruing or deferring?

    Should I be using a workflow to do this?
