W2K12R2 updates which affect (update) VSS?

    Question

  • Hi Everyone,

I am running Windows Server 2K12R2 and I am experiencing some issues with VSS.

A fellow I.T. Professional suggested that the Updates Rollups (Current Windows Server 2012 / R2 & Windows 8 / 8.1 Update Rollups) for Server 2012 may solve the issues that I am encountering.

There doesn't seem to be a great deal of information presented in the rollups documentation; so I am now wondering if anybody can give any insights into which (if any) Microsoft updates directly affect VSS?

    Any help would be fantastic.

    Kind Regards,

    Davo

  • The updates now are cumulative rollups. Best to just set windows update to automatic and let them install. You can optionally find them here.

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/24717/windows-8-1-and-windows-server-2012-r2-update-history

then put the KB in search box here and manual download / install.
