Vista Bluetooth 2 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi there folks.
Well, another day another challenge. I've bought recently a mouse/keyboard kit Microsoft Keyboard Elite for Bluetooth Model:1002 and Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer for Bluetooth Model:1001, package comes with a Microsoft Wireless Transceiver for Bluetooth 2.0 Model 1003. Sadly it is the fifth hour trying to make my gadgets work without any success. As far as i'm concerned, i've read all possible forums, browsed the whole wide web searching for a solution, no use.
Problem is when i plug in the usb dongle, Vista installs it, shows me a message that the usb root hub is successfully installed, still "This device cannot start. (Code 10)",  also i get in control panel the "Bluetooth devices"  icon. Looked up every and each forum, tried all possible solutions, installed/reinstalled keyboard/mouse software...none of this helped. Appreciate any ideeas/suggestions.
    Thanks in advance.

PS Using Vista Utimate fully updated.

Meantime, I tried my best to try to find answers for this question. A Microsoft KB article has explained this behavior. Please refer KB330368.

Error message when Bluetooth transceiver is plugged into a bus-powered hub: "Code 10"

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/330368

If the article does not help, I suggest that we install the mouse and keyboard separately, and confirm if the issue occurs with the mouse or the keyboard.

  • Thanks alot for your time. As about kb 330368.. i've tried to plug the USB Transceiver directly into the motherboard in order to avoid power loss, still no use, get the same error.
Anyway, i'll follow your advice and will try to post my problem on the newsgroup you've mentioned above.
    Thanks again.
    Cheers.
